Wordpress 2.5 is a nice place to live.

Okay, I just have to say that I can’t believe how easy doing the new design was.  I started with the default theme and changed every­thing around & put together my own design.  Now it’s all up and ready to go.

Some things to take note of:
For my Hob­bit Read­ers I’ve added the plu­gin Shire Reck­on­ing, which gives the date accord­ing to the Shire Cal­en­dar of Tolkein’s Lord of the Rings series.  Yes, I’m a geek– and proud of it.  Be happy it’s not a stardate! 

Gra­vatars next to the com­ments!  This is pretty spiffy, and I would like to encour­age my dear friends who might com­ment from time to time to go sign up.  (Spam­mers need not apply.)

The side­bar, which I can’t believe I actu­ally got to do what I wanted it to.  Click­ing on the but­ton makes the wid­get appear, thanks to a script found at Dynamic Drive.  I’m com­pletely sat­is­fied with this!

I’m going to attempt to res­cue the few posts I had before I made the server change.  We’ll see what hap­pens there.  I wouldn’t worry about it except there was a very nice com­ment from the maker of Sim­ple Con­tact (the script I use for my email form).  

I’m going to have to do a post com­pletely ded­i­cated to the play I’m in, because appar­ently Google doesn’t know it exists, which is a shame– because it’s really funny.  It’s me and 3 of my show bud­dies, and we were laugh­ing through the entire read-through.  The poster & pro­gram will be mak­ing an appear­ance in the Port­fo­lio as soon as I get all of the Word­press Gal­leries set up.

The girl and I went for a trip to the dol­lar store yes­ter­day, and got plenty of stuff for Spring-Time Out­door fun!  I love this weather change!
