The Woman in Black — October 9th — 11th
From the director of the Ariel’s productions of “Misery” and “Wait Until Dark,” Gallia’s resident master of terror Michelle Miller, comes this chilling classic ghost story — “The Woman in Black” adapted by Stephen Mallatratt, from the book by Susan Hill. Starring Stephen Sisson and Wesley Jackson.
Stephen Sisson is the Junior solicitor Mr. Kipps, who has come to have acting lessons to portray this story of horror that he’s endured, to have the memories laid to rest. His teacher is played by the Ariel’s golden-boy Wesley Jackson. Together they work through Kipps’s nights of horror as he stays in the house of the late Mrs. Alice Drablow to go through her estate.
I read through the script with Steve last night, fresh in his hands. Just reading the story gave us both chills, and I know for a fact, having seen both these boys and Michelle at work, that it’s going to scare and disturb many who come to see it. Nothing like a ghost story portrayed live before your eyes to get you in the Halloween spirit!
I’ll be working behind the scenes on this one, so I’ve included it in the “Upcoming Gigs” section. So go there for all the details, and a link to buy the tickets. You don’t want to miss this one!
