Start­ing next week, since the site is all up & run­ning smoothly now, I’m going to start a new Blog sched­ule. Here’s what to expect, so far:

Mon­day: Book Reviews. Every other mon­day I’m plan­ning on post­ing a review on a book about Art, Design, Cre­ativ­ity and/or Life.

Thurs­day: Link­age Galore Edi­tions. A col­lec­tion of links in a cer­tain theme that have been added to the Link­age Galore sec­tion of the site.

Sun­day: Tweets Every Sun­day my tweets through the week will be posted auto­mat­i­cally. It’s hard to tell what might come up here. Prob­a­bly extra links & quotes and one line updates on my life. This is just for fun.

Other posts will hap­pen on other days, but these are what to expect reg­u­larly. I’m mostly post­ing this for my own ben­e­fit. Writ­ing it down pub­licly gives it power

I took the 43 Things Per­son­al­ity Quiz and found out I’m a Self-Knowing Roman­tic Builder

I’m only post­ing this because appar­ently 0% of the 37,683 peo­ple who have taken this quiz are like me… which is totally unsurprising.

School starts next week. More post­ing will come with this. Rou­tine is nice. I’ll be tak­ing Print­mak­ing, Dig­i­tal Pho­tog­ra­phy, Junior Stu­dio II, Sta­tis­tics and Archery. I have to add in Exhibits and we’ll be all set for the 4 year plan, some­how that didn’t get added in to the sched­ule like it was sup­posed to. No biggy.

I’ve been work­ing on my New Years goals, this week is going to be ded­i­cated to get­ting a good start on the year. I have a long way to go.

CSS Book & InDesign ScreenCast

This site I sub­scribe to occa­sion­ally gives away eBooks for free for var­i­ous pro­mo­tional rea­sons. I got a Pho­to­shop book the last time, which was really for begin­ners, but it was pretty thor­ough. They’re doing a CSS book now for 14 days– “The Art and Sci­ence of CSS.” You have to either fol­low their Twit­ter feed or send them your email address for alter­nate instruc­tions, which will prob­a­bly ask you to sub­scribe to one of their mail­ing lists to get the book.

Mine is down­load­ing now. I did the Twit­ter thing, and got an email with a down­load link like 5 min­utes later. It’s 23 MB on dial-up, though. *ugh*

It hasn’t been updated in a while because he just had a kid, but there are already 51 spiffy episodes full of InDe­sign tricks. I have half of them on my laptop!

Me: I think I’m going to have to start drink­ing cof­fee.
Steve: Okaaaayyy?!
Me: lots. And LOHOTS of cof­fee.
Steve: Whahy?
Me: I don’t know. It just seems like a thing that half-dead graphic
design stu­dents who work long nights on the week­ends and have a 4
year old who wakes her up around 7 in the usual 4 year old way should drink.

My dad’s a high school teacher. He lives on the stuff. I’ve never touched the stuff, besides cappuccino.

Thoughts? Should I join the dark side?
