Totally worth the update to WP 2.9 for me. I’m thinkÂing I might just decide to start comÂpletely 100% over with the site. I have a new strucÂture I’d like to try out, and actuÂally make use of the tags as well as the catÂeÂgories. I may keep some older posts and repost them as time goes by. I don’t think anyÂbody actuÂally reads this thing as it is right now, anyway.
So, in the comÂing weeks/2-months, as I finÂish this blasted degree and start my real job (yay!), the site will probÂaÂbly be pretty borÂing, because I want to add things one at a time to make sure everyÂthing is clean and workÂing and lookÂing good. So many ideas, so litÂtle time– but May 9th is the freeÂdom date.
AnyÂway, here’s the link on how to do thumbÂnails in WordÂPress 2.9.
Not only is Magenta not really a color (see this artiÂcle. It explains), but apparÂently it’s owned by T-Mobile. This is a really interÂestÂing, and a litÂtle frightÂenÂing artiÂcle about big-business startÂing to own rights to someÂthing as uniÂverÂsal as color.
Here’s a sneak-peak preÂview of what’s comÂing up in CS5… interÂestÂing stuff with paint & warpÂing. It’s a bit corny, but the techÂniques are cool.
I manÂaged to find how to put an “Add Link” or “Link This” bookÂmarklet in my browser bar.  It needed a teeny update, so I thought I’d post how I did it, in hopes it might help someÂbody else.Â
The origÂiÂnal was in this forum thread by “rileycentral” : Â
All I did was change the width of the popup winÂdow to 800px to allow for the new 2.7 admin layÂout.  You’ll need to change the url to your own, then copy and paste the code to your address bar and drag it into your bookÂmarks bar.  That’s what I did in Safari, anyÂway.  If there’s a betÂter way– please let me know.
I am offiÂcially postÂing in WordÂPress 2.7 Beta 1, and it is soo very pretty! I mean really– I just logged in and I’m blown away by the redesign and how everyÂthing is arranged.  So far I’m very impressed.  The media secÂtion is still a litÂtle buggy in Safari, right off the bat, but it is, after all, still a beta verÂsion.  I’m lookÂing forÂward to lookÂing around the rest of it…
Now, the Fun with Fonts, I was wantÂing to add a TypogÂraÂphy blog to my list of RSS feeds, and #1 on Google was ilovetypography.com- so I clicked, and I was taken.  Tons and tons of info in the blog, and a super fun font game to play!  I got a 25/34 on my own, then I shared it with the lab and we played as a team and got 30.  Good times in the Mac Lab
