Looking Good So Far…

So, I’m work­ing on the new ver­sion of the site– and so far I’m pretty excited. I’ve already begun dis­cussing it with a few of the peo­ple I’ve had in mind as con­tributers. I’ve put all my Stone Age images in the Art His­tory gallery to start it off. Next will be Mesopotamia. I’d like to get up to the Aegean before classes start to actu­ally be of use to peo­ple this semester.

It took three or four designs to get the look I wanted, and I’m build­ing this one to last. Next I’m going to start delet­ing the more per­sonal posts from the archives and leave the infor­ma­tional entries. I’m also going to redo my A-Store to fit with the theme, I’ll prob­a­bly leave some of my per­sonal cat­e­gories as my con­tri­bu­tions. I would still like to have a lit­tle more con­trol over the book­store, so if any­body out there in Inter­net land knows of a Word­press Plu­gin that will do some­thing sim­i­lar with Ama­zon ser­vices, and do it well, I’d love to hear about it.

The Google Cal­en­dar needs to be made, as well. Maybe I should shop for another event orga­nizer. We’ll see.

I’m open to ideas and sug­ges­tions at this point– I’m still work­ing on sell­ing it to peo­ple. Hope­fully this project will turn out to be fun for everyone!
