I received a strongly worded mes­sage from a friend of mine urg­ing me to write some­thing in this box that would be posted on this site.  At the moment, I have noth­ing earth shat­ter­ing, world chang­ing, or even mind numb­ing to throw at you.  How­ever, I will write to make her happy.

Later, I do intend to write exten­sively on top­ics such as movies, CDs, opera, musi­cal the­ater and pretty much any­thing else I feel like mak­ing you read.
